Our Vision

Balimo College’s vision is to advance Western Province by providing high-quality teaching, research and community engagement. The institute will foster pathways of teachers and health workers who are committed to improving access to vital services in Western Province. Balimo College will be a safe and supportive place for graduates and other professionals across the Western Province catchment region to return for life-long learning and ongoing professional development. The College will develop a community of education and health professionals committed to innovation, excellence and community advancement; by being the training College of choice for Papua New Guineans.

Our Mission

Balimo College will deliver high-quality teaching and active learning, practical work experience, research to foster critical thinking, and pathways to employment for teachers and health workers for Western Province. Balimo College’s mission is to meet the education and health needs of Western Province and to produce and support highly skilled graduates who contribute positively to their community and the Province. Balimo College utilises technology innovations, cross-cultural and cross-institutional connections, and works with industry and community partners to deliver a high-quality teaching and learning program. It produces research that is meaningful to the community to lead advancements in education and health in the Province.
